While there are a lot of bioplastics as biodegradable packaging, we tried to develop a new one, from industrial garbage. It is supposed to consist of fish scales (waste of fishing industry) and molasses (waste from the sugar industry). The combination of these products can be used in packaging, furniture, or insulation panels. As this material consists of waste, it is cheap, low-energy to produce and at the same time ecologically sustainable. However, the lack of accessible facilities did not enable us to finish this research.
